August 29th 2016. The team of Imisioluwa Solarin and Busola Sokoya are representing Premier College, Ijebu-Ode at the ongoing Nigerian Geek Girls Camp taking place at the University of Ibadan.
The Nigerian Geek Girls Collaborative Camp (GeGCoC) is a one-week long ICT mentoring camp to bring together Nigerian Secondary School girls, female undergraduates and female teachers, with the main objective of mentoring and improving their involvement in Information and Communication Technology, both as a profession and as a problem solving tool in their various professions. It is hoped that the camp will boost the participants’ confidence and encourage them to participate in Information Technology. This will be done by enabling them to create personal ICT projects after undergoing hands-on IT training.

The School team is led by Ms Tope Adeyemi, a graduate of Computer Science and a member of the School teaching crew. The Camp is expected to close Saturday, September 3rd 2016 with an event that will also feature the appearance of the School Proprietor, Dr Segun Oyebolu, who recently donated to the Camp and is a member of the mentoring team for the Camp.
